Morning Rain

(written: 26 October 2013)

Woken by rain against my window. Night covered curtains. Time obscured by the dark. I lay under the duvet, listening. I began to feel the warmth of my cover against my skin. I began to be aware of the world around me. Rain rattle panes. And I lay on my bed. A delicious feeling of being unhurried washed over me. My eyelids drifted back, and brought morning’s darkness forward. I slept again, seduced by the rain’s lullaby…
