Small stone: dreaming

The alarm sounds. I’m awake, technically. In the twilight world of in-between sleep I try to fetch my dream back. Half remembered images form in my mind. The bity bits of nocturnal sagas stager about, but never gel to a coherent critical mass. My eyes open. Another day begins. Another dream fades.
