Silent Sound

Babble, rabble, rumble.

Speak, so to speak,

inane ramblings of the insane.

Noise, noise, talk and sqwark…

Why not listen.

Listen to the wind rush

down the sloping hills,

the mountains freshly cropped

of their white capes

as they dip their feet

into the cold spring waters below.

Just listen.

Listen to the nothingness

of peaceful existence.

Listen to your breath

and your beating heart

as your eyes drift like clouds

above you, or the water below,

or the cool air in between.

Just listen

to the moment

you breathe and the sound

of the stillness around you

shutting out…

Noise, noise, talk and sqwark

and endless nonsensical double-babble

and meaningless drivel.
